About Us

History of Sentinet Computing Ltd.

When we started Sentinet back in November 2000, we wanted to set up our business to provide first class computer support for businesses in Hastings and the surrounding area, and add a bit extra.

We knew from our experience working in the industry, that customer service was usually a casualty, as non-technically minded sales staff tried to sell highly technical products and services, while technicians and engineers hid away in dark rooms full of flashing lights and spoke in some strange techno-babble language.

There was not a single salesperson in sight...

When Sentinet launched, we were quite unusual; there was not a single salesperson in sight, only technicians who spoke to customers in plain English, with a relaxed and friendly approach.

Added to this, we put customer satisfaction right at the top; it wasn’t too hard to work it out – happy customers will come back and do more business with us and we’ll all enjoy our working day.

So far, we’re glad to say that this approach has worked pretty well; in fact a good proportion of new customers come to us based on word of mouth recommendations from our existing customers.

So, take a look at what we do, now that you know how we do it, because we’d love to hear from you.

We do still get excited by all those flashing lights though!

Who Are We?

Peter Fletcher – Commercial Director
Plays bass guitar and can be found sailing his boat at weekends. When you call us, Pete is usually the first person you’ll speak to; if you need an engineer on site then he’ll get a message to someone to call you right back.

Chris Willard – Technical Director
Plays trumpet and has a real talent for automating systems on large networks. Chris also has a great deal of specialist knowledge in Legal Practice Management software systems.

Steve Pullinger – Marketing Director
Plays the alleged guitar and is particularly fond of developing and customising database driven web sites and programming projects. Steve also has a thing for gadgets, especially mobile and remote computing.

Michael Pullinger – Engineer
Plays the guitar and joined Sentinet in 2009 with exceptional Cisco qualifications. Michael has embraced our philosophy, and customers frequently comment on his high technical capability and friendly approach.

As a private user I wondered if Sentinet would be too commercial and business orientated to help me. How wrong I was! From the first telephone contact all the way through to the correction of the problem I had, I was treated with extreme courtesy and concern. I felt my problem was theirs and they truly were interested in fixing the machine to better than when it was new. Fast, friendly and excelllent service - who could ask for m...
